About

I'm a bilingual copywriter based in Tokyo, writing Japanese campaign copy for global brands entering or growing in the Japanese market.

My work runs from headline and tagline craft to TVC scripts and storyboards — for brands including Uber, JBL, Alpro, H&M and UNIQLO. I specialise in transcreation: taking a global brand platform and rebuilding it in Japanese so it carries the original strategy without sounding imported.

I've worked agency-side, in-house, and as a freelancer — which means I can pick up a brief the way an agency runs them, hold a brand's voice the way an in-house team needs, and move fast and self-directed when a project calls for it.

I write everything from playful promo to premium brand, in both Japanese and English, and I'm equally comfortable being handed an English platform to localise or a blank page to start from.

Outside work, I organise art and music events around Tokyo — which keeps me close to the culture I write for.
